I had ordered the Greenworks 16inch Snow Thrower and overnighted it. We're in South Dakota in the middle of a three day blizzard and I was sick and tired of snowing. It came 2 hours ago. I had it put together and outside working within 15 minutes. It actually took me longer to put my snow pants on. I have a 2 1/2 car driveway and I live on a corner lot so I have a lot of pavement to clear. We (my niece and I) got the entire area cleaned in an hour. We are talking around 15 inches of snow, and 10 inches of it was 3 days old. The snowthrower had no problem clearning anything and didn't catch on the pavement and did everything I wanted it to do! The best part was it started every single time with no problems at all. I used to have a huge gas powered snow blower that had all kinds of gears and reverse, and I have to say I prefer the Greenworks handsdown!

I found that this blower is difficult to move forward. It seems to hangup on the scraper and will not move easily even on smooth concrete. It seems that there is to much downward force from the handle.

Purchase the Greenworks 26022 and received in 5 days with free shipping - even with inclement weather holding it back. The snow thrower came in excellent shape and was very easy to assemble. The whole lower unit was ready out of the box only had to assemble the handles and the directional vane control. We have a lot of left over snow outside (8 inches) from our last snow fall so I went out this morning and made the paths wider. No problem at all even with wet snow and a little ice. Found the thrower easy to move around and is very well balanced. I was even able to tilt it up and make a couple of passes with the 8 inches still on the ground. This should really help my back out. This model will work out perfectly for our needs. It seems to have very good power. I will make quick work of 6 inches of fresh snow. Very well built. We are scheduled for another snow storm in 4 days so now no big deal for me.

Today's 8" storm officially heralded in my second season using the Wovel, and I was reminded exactly how remarkable this silly-looking contraption is.

My house is one of four homes on a very small private street. Since we're responsible for our own snow removal, we co-own a large snow blower and take turns clearing the street. My three neighbors also use the blower to clear their driveways. As for myself, I don't particularly like the loud, polluting blower. Since I've always looked at shoveling as excellent exercise, I would typically reach for the shovel to handle my own driveway.

Although I'm pretty fit, I do suffer from occasional acute lower back episodes. For this reason, my wife picked up a Wovel as a holiday gift for me last season.

Pros:
The Wovel makes for fast, easy and efficient removal of snow. I can clear my drive faster with the Wovel than my neighbors can using their snow blowers (and it seems that they work harder trying, wrestling their snow blowers!). The folding design of the Sno Wovel is wonderful! It only takes a minute for me to disassemble and hang on my garage wall (so it also saves floor space over a snow blower). It works so well that I've started letting my 6 year old daughter clear away light snow (1-2").

Cons:
While clearing some snow I hit a patch of ice, that unfortunately has chipped a 2" chunk out of the middle of the shovel. This has also caused a 2-3" vertical crack. I would definitely recommend buying the available wear strip, which in my opinion should have been included with the shovel by the manufacturer. Very disappointingly, Structured Solutions II does not sell any accessories on Amazon so I would have incurred additional shipping costs buying... Read more

We got our Wovel last week and the weather has been pretty good, I was afraid I wouldn't be able to try out my new toy...until yesterday. We had a pretty heavy snowstorm yesterday and there was plenty to shovel. So I grabbed the box and put it together in less than a half hour and went out to shovel, umm, wovel, the driveway.

It was amazing. within one or two scoops I had the technique down. I cleaned off my drive way within 10 minutes in the middle of the snow storm.

When my wife got home I had her come out and see how easy it was to use. I finished our drive way and was doing the walks in front of our house and two other neighbor's houses. I decided to do my next door neighbor's drive and started doing it. His young daughters were watching me from the living room window and then he came out and asked it he could do it. Mine arrived quickly and in good shape. Like the other reviewer said, it comes with SAE 30 oil and that is recommended only for over 50 degree weather. So I put in some 10w40; no big deal. I choked it, primed it, and it started on the first pull. You can unchoke it right away and it runs great. I also tried the electric starter, and that worked great as well. It seems to be a very powerful electric starter, unlike the battery-powered kind on lawn mowers. On hot restarts, the engine wants to be choked again. If you do that, it still starts on the first pull. Overall I'd call this a great engine with a great electric starter system.

Now for the downsides. (1) When tilted back (resting the handle on the ground) gasoline will run out from under the gas cap. This shouldn't happen with a properly fitted venting cap. (2) When you engage the auger paddles, the thing makes a horrible racket like it's trying to beat itself to death. I'm sure this is the problem the... Read more

Got this for Christmas and it was an easy setup. Used the SAE 30 oil that came with it. Tried the electric starter and it started right up, even through I forgot to prime it. Next day after the big snow storm that droped 12+ inches where we were in the northest, I tried starting it with the pull cord. Temp was about 20 degress, one pull and it started right up. There was about 8 inches on the ground and this thing plowed right through it. Because the impeller was new, it was pulling me down the driveway. I had to hold it back. After a while and once it was warmed up I shut it down. Leaving it in the run position and without moving the choke or priming it, one pull and it started right up. It was easy to move the chute around and the snow was gone in no time. The auger will run it self in, so I do not recommend running it without using it for snow blowing, or bits of rubber might fly around due to the scraping in of the auger.

Just used it for the 1st time in a freak snow on October 29, 2011. Pushed out 6" of wet heavy snow without any problems. Neighbors had the same size unit with smaller engine from home depot. Two of them broke within 10 minutes. This thing runs great. Started with just half a pull and didnt stop until i was done.
