Toro Power Clear 180 (18") 87cc Single-Stage Snow Blower - 38272 Reviews

The unit I got was made after the recall, and the problem was supposed to be fixed. Well, it's not. Mine started leaking after 7 months. The repair shop had 10 other model 180 units in for this same problem. After 6 weeks in the shop they now say it's fixed but will start leaking again unless i drain the gas after each use. They blame this on the chemicals in gas, but none of my other power equipment has this issue. If not for the chronic gas leaking and resulting fire hazard.problem, this would not be a bad light duty snowblower. Due to the gas leak that can't be fixed avoid this model unless you are willing to drain the gas each time you use it. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By This review is from: Toro Power Clear 180 (18") 87cc Single-Stage Snow Blower - 38272 Just bought this in Jan 2011 and used once. So far so good. Only complaint is the choke is rather flimsy, especially for a $400 item, and the key is in an awkward position. Pull start was easy. Haven't tried electric start yet. 4 of 5 people found the following review helpful: ![]() By This review is from: Toro Power Clear 180 (18") 87cc Single-Stage Snow Blower - 38272 One week after I purchase this machine, a blizzard hit us with 19" of snow and up to 4' drifts. It is not normal to get this volume of snow here. I have concerns whether the snow blower could handle the job. So I started the machine up, and started removing the snow layer at a time, running the blower for hours. After two tanks of gas the job was done. Of course if I had a bigger machine I would have finish sooner but I didn't. Great little machine that is willing to work! |
